Hootie just enjoyed a lounge on my first ever quilted quilt. I made a small quilt one time for a school project, but I just tied it instead of actually quilting it. Today I just finished quilting this one using a sewing machine equipped with a free motion foot. I brought it home to find some fabric to use as a binding, and Hootie took the opportunity to test its cat-bed capacity. It seemed to satisfy him.

Devon! That's wonderful! You did a great job. I like how you placed your tea towel stripey fabrics. Are you feeling more comfortable with the foot?

I just found your photo online and love the combination of colours from the towels. I have recently discovered the joy of making denim rag quilts and am thinking I'd like to combine the two (old jeans and tea towels) and see what I can come up with.
