A Mish Mashed Hodge Podge Update

Hello, everyone. I'm so sorry my posts have kind of dropped off in frequency these last few weeks. I hope I haven't lost too many of you regular readers! I've been working on a lot of things but haven't finished anything in a while. I'm never very good at blogging things in progress, one of my glaring online flaws, but I'm going to start getting better right now!

All my sewing energies lately have been going towards a big custom project I'm making for a lovely gal in Australia. It's a pretty neat idea - she had her friends and family bring scraps of fabric to her baby shower, and now I'm making these scraps into quilts for both of her daughters. It's everything from people's old childhood pillowcases to t-shirts to baby washcloths. Neat, huh?

It's kind of going to be a mix up of a randomly pieced block in the center with each girl's name, then some different sized sparkle punch stars around it. So I've been making a zillion sparkle punch blocks.

I have finished one thing recently - a Colette Patterns Violet Blouse. It's made from what has become one of my all time favorite fabrics, an uber-soft double gauze with little pandas on it. Squeeee!

I know the hanger doesn't really do it justice, but it's very cute when it's on, especially the collar.

Also if you're wondering what those things are hanging next to it, those are halters from horses I had when I was younger. They're hanging in my room now. I'm really used to them but after looking at the pictures I realized they might look a little strange to someone that didn't know what they were...

  1. 1. The panda shirt is too too cute. It might be even better with a contrast collar?

    2. Yes, the halters look a little like you've been reading too much 50 Shades of Gray.
